"Good tracking, but the wording made it sound more reliable"
I do like the Tobii tracking when it’s actually working, but the software has been hit or miss for me. The way it’s described makes it sound seamless, which feels a bit misleading because I’ve had it freeze a few times and sometimes after updates I end up having to restart things just to get it working again. Setup wasn’t terrible, just kind of annoying and not as smooth as I expected. Overall it’s not bad, but I definitely thought it would be more stable for the price and the way it’s advertised.

They did help me get the issue fixed, so I can’t really complain too much. The only thing is the replies were a little slow, which made me wonder if it was going to get sorted at first. But in the end, it worked out...

"I really wanted to like Tobii, but…"
I really wanted to like Tobii Gaming, but it’s been annoying for me. During daytime, if there’s sunlight coming in from window, it keeps losing tracking. Then at night, even with a lamp on, it gets all jumpy again. It only seems to work okay in one very specific lighting setup, which is kind of frustrating. For the price, I expected it to just work better out of box. I tried moving my monitor around and changing the room lights, but it still acts weird. In the end, it’s just not worth hassle for me.

"Easier Than I Expected"
I was a little worried about getting the calibration right since I’m not super techy, but it actually went smoothly. It didn’t work the first time, but after one retry it clicked, which was a relief. After that, the tracking felt accurate and everything worked like it should

"Actually Handles Movement Well"
I wasn’t sure at first if it would keep up when I moved my head around, but yeah, actually, it handles my head movement better than I expected. It feels smooth and doesn’t get annoying or awkward during use.

I had a good experience with the service overall. The team was helpful and everything worked smoothly. The only thing that threw me off a bit was the subscription terms, I didn’t find them totally clear at first. Not a huge issue, but I do think they could be explained a little better.

"Not as compatible as I expected"
I picked this up figuring my laptop would handle it no problem, but the device support is a lot more limited than I expected. I spent way too much time hunting around for drivers, and even after that, I still couldn’t get it working properly. Maybe it’s fine with the right setup, but it definitely wasn’t plug-and-play for me

I started using Tobii because my hands were basically staging a rebellion after too much laptop time, it’s been a huge help. Once I got used to the eye tracking, it felt surprisingly natural, like my laptop was finally meeting me halfway instead of making everything a battle with the mouse. Setup had a few bumps at first, so it wasn’t some magical instant fix, but the guides got me through it. For day-to-day accessibility, it’s been a genuine relief.

"Pretty cool when it works"
I mainly picked up the Tobii for racing and flight games, and the integration was better than I thought it would be. In stuff like MSFS and Euro Truck, using my eyes/head to look around starts to feel natural after a little while. Setup took me around 15 minutes, so that part was easy enough. It’s definitely not perfect in every game, and I’m still not totally sure how it’ll hold up quality-wise over time, but when a game supports it well, it adds a lot to the experience. Overall, I’m happy with it so far.

Well... this works well for me overall. The tracking range is actually better than I thought it would be, and I can move around a bit without it losing me. It does get a little less accurate near the edge of my desk sometimes, but it’s not a big deal. Solid 4 stars from me.

"Great when it works, but updates are frustrating"
I like my Tobii when it’s working right, but the software updates have been kind of hit or miss for me. One update will fix a little issue, then the next one makes the tracking feel off or resets my settings, so I have to mess with everything all over again. On top of that, having to keep going through verification repeatedly gets old fast. It’s not unusable or anything, just annoying when I want to jump in and use it. I really hope they test these updates better before rolling them out.

"Solid little device that feels worth it"
I’ve been using my Tobii device for a while now, it just feels well made. Nothing is loose or flimsy, it sits nicely on my monitor, and even with daily use it still looks pretty much new. I appreciate when a product is built to last instead of feeling disposable, because it just seems more responsible and fair to the people spending their money on it.

"Warranty process was decent, just a bit slow"
My Tobii eye tracker started acting up, so I ended up having to use the warranty. Support was friendly and walked me through exactly what I needed to send in, which I appreciated. The repair/replacement got sorted without any major hassle, but it did take a little longer than I was hoping. Since these aren’t exactly cheap, I was a bit stressed about having issues in the first place, but overall I’m glad they handled it properly...

"Tobii has made everyday communication so…"
Tobii has made everyday communication so much easier for my daughter! The setup took a little time, not gonna lie... but once we got through that, it really changed things. Now she can tell us what she needs without us constantly guessing, and that has been a huge relief for all of us.
